What is an Anchor text:

The anchor text is a clickable text or link label in hyperlink. anchor text play as keywords and exactly describes targeted URL or Links. Here we are going discuss about anchor text and all the types of anchor texts.

1. Branded Anchor Text:

In Branded anchor text we use brand name as the anchor text.
For example: Reddy SEO Linking to an page on Reddy SEO blog.

2. Naked Link Anchor Text:

When we use URL as the anchor text that is called as naked link anchor text
For example: https://www.reddyseo.com

3. Exact-Match Anchor Text:

If we use the exact word phrase that is included in title of targeted page, that is called as exact-match anchor text.
For example: “SEO Tips” is the anchor text linking to a page about SEO Tips.

4. Partial-Match Anchor Text:

Anchor text that includes a variation of the keyword on the targeted page then we call it as partial-match anchor text
For example: “SEO Tips” is the anchor text linking to a page about SEO.

5. Brand + Keyword Match Anchor Text:

If we use brand name along with the keyword in the anchor text then it is called as Brand + Keyword Match Anchor Text
For example: “SEO Tips by Reddy SEO” is the anchor text linking to a page about SEO Tips.

6. Generic Anchor Text:

When we use a general phrase as the anchor then it is called as generic anchor text.
For example: Click Here, Read more etc..

7. Image Anchor Text:

Whenever an image is linked, Search engines will use the text contained in the image’s alt attribute as the anchor text.
